HR Since the Equality Bill 2009

Knowsley Human Resources Forum

HR Since the Equality Bill 2009 - Andrew Cross (Brabners Chaffe Street

The Equality Bill 2009 was introduced to improve the laws we have regarding equality and discrimination. Since the introduction of the Equalities Bill, there have been some important changes that have implications for employers.

This event will inform you in a clear and understandable way how those changes affect you and your staff, with practical examples of how this aspect of employment law should be applied in the workplace especially for those involved in HR.

About the HR Forum...

The Knowsley HR Forum is a network delivered by Knowsley Chamber and supported by Knowsley Council in order to assist local businesses with their human resource needs. It meets every 2 months and the format offers seminar sessions on topical HR issues, delivered by some of the UK’s leading Employment lawyers.   Supplementing this learning opportunity there will be the latest update from ACAS, as well as the usual opportunity for formal and informal networking that is encouraged, enabling best practice to be shared between organisations both large and small in the Borough.

Meetings are held in Knowsley, making them easily accessible to our Knowsley businesses, and include tours of premises such as Liverpool’s Youth Training Academy, QVC, Newsprinters, and Sonae.

Buffet and refreshments will be provided.
